Supporting Veterans Through the H.O.O.V.E.S. Golf Outing
At Minuteman Press Toledo, we believe a local business should show up for the community it serves. On September 21st, 2026 we partnered with H.O.O.V.E.S. and Sylvania Country Club for the 13th Annual Fall Golf Outing, a day on the course that raises support for veterans.
About H.O.O.V.E.S.
H.O.O.V.E.S., or Healing of Our Veterans Equine Services, is a nonprofit based on a farm in Swanton, Ohio. Founded by Amanda Held, the organization has spent more than 15 years working with veterans facing PTSD, addiction, and the stress that follows service.
Their approach is unlike anything else. Veterans don't ride the horses. Instead, they work alongside them on the ground, pairing hands-on exercises with practical resiliency tools during multi-day retreats. Every horse on the farm is a rescue, and research has shown the program's lasting impact on the veterans who go through it.
Our Role in the Golf Outing
Our team works alongside H.O.O.V.E.S. and Sylvania Country Club to plan and support the event from signage and setup to sponsorship and volunteer coordination, and day-of logistics.
